Fish Update :)

The sad news...

The Kid got sick and I had to put him out of his misery (poor guy) but it was got the good of the other residents - I didn't want them to catch whatever it was that was causing him to lose his color.

Mr Kuhli is gone, too. He was the addition to the tank to help deal with the snail problem but I can't say he had any effect. Kuhli Loaches apparently have a massive swim bladder and is sensitive to atmospheric pressure or something like that, andyway Mr Kuhli was flying around the inside of the tank one day, very uncharcteristic behaviour!, when we left for work in the mornning and when we came back he had hurled himself out of the tank. Very sad.

And I have most recently lost Lulu the Limpet snail, too. We were away walking the canal for a week and she somehow fell off whatever it was she was stuck on and fell on her back - they can't flip themselves over so it was all over for her....poor girl.

On the positive side... the greenery is doing fantastically well. Mr Yamato the shrimp is still in there and he has shed his shell once. Pale Rider, and the rest of the fish, are healthy and happy - all are looking big for their species (Pale Rider is HUGE!), so it must be the milk and oreos I give them for snacks (just kidding!!!!! :)

The Fish -
The orange and black one near the top is a Rasbora Espei. The biggest fish is, of course, Pale Rider (a minnow) and Big Red is just above her (not the blue stripey guy but the one above him) and you can see that Big is just his name as Pale Rider dwarfs him! The blue stripey guys are the tetras.

Mr Yamato, the shrimp

Go on, say hello :)
